Oh, this is going to be long! Will try and break it down into points:
1. Good cop-bad cop show by co-founders: Tripoto is founded by two people and they execute the perfect good cop-bad cop situation on a daily basis. While one of them is completely unprofessional (more on him in the following points), the other silently watches the show while trying to be sweet to the employees.
2. Issues with one of the co-founders: Tripoto has always been a very promising product but because of one of the two co-founders, the company now stands at almost a shutdown point. The said person has major trust issues, is delusional, is a control freak, has shown signs of split-personality and has even admitted to having no control over his anger. He basically treats people like objects and has single-handedly destroyed the company's culture. There have been cases of verbal abuse, death threats, physical violence, rage and even stalking of women through their personal social media channels. And mind you, all of this is done in full public view, in the name of "startup culture".
3. False promises: The company is indulged in a lot of shady work. Fake marketing leads, cooked up stories are published and freelancers and influencers are often misled to get work done at lower or no costs.
4. Inefficient senior management: To make matters worse, Tripoto also has a highly inefficient senior management. This group, mostly comprised of men, just acts as the bridge to spread the toxicity from higher ups to the ground-level employees. This crop of individuals are paid hefty amounts of money for doing absolutely nothing but create unnecessary pressure amongst the people who actually keep the company running. There are some women also who have sadly, become a part of this group and advocate the co-founder's behaviour.
5. Favouritism: Tripoto is a company that advocates favouritism and bullying. There is a significant chunk of people who have no real contribution to the work here but continue to draw hefty paycheques just because they are close to the co-founder. These people literally roam about the office aimlessly every single day, holding random meetings and sometimes, even doing tasks that the co-founder's personal secretary would do otherwise.
6. No clear direction: Finally, despite all the hullabaloo, the company still lacks a clear direction. Employees are assigned completely random, monotonous tasks that have no relation to their skillset whatsoever. On an average, only 1 in 5 people actually experience professional growth at Tripoto.
