Pros
Extremely talented and capable coworkers below executive leadership. Healthcare benefits are covered at about 90%.
Cons
Let me preface everything by saying until *both* the CEO, Ryan Bartlett, and President, Ben Yahalom, step down or are replaced, not a single thing will ever change at this company - they are the root of every problem. There is no upward trajectory at the company - they will sell this to you as a false promise in your interview. Tell you about these "growth opportunities" that are non-existent. If you are lucky, you will be promoted up their fixed ladder system, but only at the end of the year (unless you are a favorite, of course, then you can be promoted at any time!). Director titles do not come with decision making power - only decisions are made by executive leadership, and in an untimely manner that will have you and your team scrambling to get things done the day before the "urgent" due date set by Ben or Ryan (everything is urgent). Bonuses are based entirely on company performance. Their baseline for company performance is based upon exponential growth year over year - so *hint hint* no bonus for you, because in what world is that type of growth sustainable 5+ years later? You and your team will be dissected, micromanaged, and questioned at every decision making point - because the CEO and President must know better, right? Right. If you make a mistake, be prepared to get put on blast in a public channel for the rest of your coworkers (sometimes even external vendors) to see! If you're lucky, or if you were one of the first 10 employees, you will survive the semi-annual round of mass layoffs. Performance has no factor in layoffs - it's just based on department (I'm taking to you marketers and creatives! Run away!) Oh and definitely don’t speak up for yourself or coworkers, that’ll get you fired too. If you’re director level or above, get ready for random phone calls from Ben or Ryan at any given time with no warning - most likely asking for an “urgent” task that they will then forget about in 3-5 business days and never speak of again. HR is a joke, that’s the summary. Pretend they don’t exist. If you’re hired, get ready to manage about 15 different vendors. Why build an internal team when you can exploit agencies to do the job at half the cost and have your internal employees fix the half-assed job they did? If you made it this far, you likely care a lot about your career and well-being, so do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for a job. Nobody deserves to be subjected to a place like this.
