Pros

18:00 when you can go home

Cons

Cold, dark, and uninspiring, the office feels frozen in time, complete with outdated tech and zero atmosphere. There’s a surplus of middle managers whose main talent seems to be hovering over your shoulder. Even taking a moment to grab a coffee or stretch earns disapproving stares. Leadership has a manipulative streak, they’ll gaslight you into thinking you should feel grateful to be there, as though it’s some rare privilege… when really, it’s just another recruitment firm among hundreds offering the same thing. If you’re a woman, good luck. The culture feels decades behind, with attitudes better suited to the 1800s — it’s the kind of place where you’d be better off as a “stay-at-home wife” than expecting fair treatment. The team dynamic is equally off. The mix of people feels random and disconnected, with zero camaraderie inside or outside the office. Even the “holiday incentives” have the opposite effect, it genuinely feels more like a punishment than a reward to travel with management.

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We’re truly sorry to hear that your experience fell short of what we aim to provide at Trust in SODA, and we take your comments seriously. We are aware that retention, engagement, and inclusivity are critical to a healthy, growth-enabled culture, and we continue to review these areas closely; this coincides with the appointment of a new Head of TA and a complete rebuild of our onboarding process. Over the past decade, we’ve invested significantly in developing a workplace that supports collaboration, growth, and belonging, with particular attention to ensuring equitable experiences and progression for everyone. There is no place for favouritism or exclusionary behaviour at Trust in SODA, and there never will be. This kind of behaviour is the antithesis of who we are and what our brand represents, and we will be investigating any suggestion to the contrary. If you’re open to sharing more about your experience, please reach out in confidence to marita.harper@trinnovo.com.

Pros

Built some good communities which can be used as a differentiator.

Cons

Extremely KPI driven environment, focus on quantity not quality. Below market rate salaries. Severely micromanaged environment. 'Battle of the brands' each month feels like your back at school.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. We’re sorry this has been your experience. We work hard to create an environment that supports our people and gives them space to grow. We know that targets can be tough in contracting markets, but we heavily invest in the tools to help people achieve them and provide in-house and external L&D support to ensure people are always learning and improving. It’s heartening to hear that you recognise our wonderful communities. Thank you for the feedback; if you’d like to talk about your experience in more detail, please contact us at oliver@trustinsoda.com

Pros

When I first joined years back it was a good company to work for with good team managers.

Cons

2023. - lack of transparency & honesty - lots of bad changes in upper management/board level - one size fits all approach - loads of people working dead end jobs - being asked to do more with less - board level have clear favourites & it shows - being asked to start earlier & finish later despite working very long hours - constant sharing of stats (not in a encouraging or friendly competitive way) - in the past when you progressed you would be required onsite less and less as an incentive (now everyone is required onsite 3 days a week regardless - with a rare few doing 2 days) - Claim to be people first but proved on countless occasions with countless people to be anything but…

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, your candidness is greatly appreciated. We’re deeply saddened to hear about your experience, and we apologise for any poor communication and management you’ve encountered during your time at Trust in SODA. We believe a strong foundation of transparency and honesty is crucial for any business, hence why we share certain stats at the end-of-month roundup. We are a purpose-driven business, and since we operate in a sales environment, we aim to keep the performance bar high to achieve our goals – often, this demands the sharing of progress. As part of our dedication to meritocratic growth, favouritism is not tolerated. Our Performance Improvement Plans, Wellness Action Plans, Employee-led Engagement Groups, Future Leaders Program, and Flexi-Time are designed to help us avoid the one-size-fits-all approach and create an inclusive, supportive workplace that adheres to the needs of the individual. Whilst adjusting to a correcting market has been challenging, the changes we’ve made align with our 5-year strategy, and they’ve been crucial in maintaining the value we provide to all our stakeholders. Our people power Trust in SODA, and we’re always looking for new ways to invest in them and support them on their journey of professional growth and development. We understand that high-quality leadership plays a vital part in this, and we’re sorry that you’ve not experienced the people-first approach. Thank you again for taking the time to share your thoughts, we have passed them on to leadership.
