Easy money, no opportunity.

Fast, easy money, and co-workers who get along.

Cons

Incompetent, emotionally affected management. No benefits whatsoever. Ownership has no regard or appreciation towards staff. Consistently creating vague and contradictory new policies. Since I've worked at the restaurant, I have watched benefits be consistently phased out. No shift meals, and only 25% discount on food (no discount on weekends, even if you are working all night and have no access to a meal). Consistently unfair distribution of shifts, with better shifts always held by female employees who are close to the GM. Inconsistent write-ups: One employee will be written up for something that is overlooked with another employee.

Pros

My favorite job for a long time. I have had great managers, coworkers, and guests. Could make some great money serving.

Cons

Changed in the last couple months I worked there. When I started it felt more like a Ma and Pa type restaurant, very friendly and family centered. By the time I was leaving it turned more into a corporation and had a slightly hostile environment.

Pros

Tsunami is definitely a great place to make money as a sushi chef or server but be prepared, the menu is large and you'll always be busy. Not a restaurant for those just looking for a paycheck, this place takes dedication. Management does a good job scheduling, at least for the chefs.

Cons

You're always under pressure. All locations could use an extra chef or two during rushes but there's nowhere to put them. Expect to be always pushing hard to catch up. Management can sometimes play favorites and is difficult to trust.
