Great work environment. Everybody is very professional. There is great camaraderie among the employees. You control your own schedule, and are expected to complete your work on a timely basis. Management is great and very knowledgeable. The county has a very good retirement system and is constantly changing practices to achieve stability.
Cons
Government pay does not match private industry pay. To move up you have to wait for someone higher up than you to quit, retire, or get promoted (similar situation in most government settings).
