      Above-average tips, but unprofessional owners and retaliation

      Tips from clients are above average for experienced stylists.

      Cons

      Unprofessional owners, misleading and inflated salary on job listing. Responds defensively to concerns about pay. Won't take complaints/concerns seriously and dismisses them. Will retaliate to complaints by demoting or revoking privladges.

      Pros

      Generally laid back in the men are happy because they get a drink.

      Cons

      Tune-up provides a lot of services but most men don't want a lot of services so you'll pretty much just be doing haircuts and shaves. There's nothing wrong with this but eventually if you become an established stylist you will reach somewhat of a cap and rely on tips to increase income.

      The owners confuse license professionals with servers

      Pros

      Fun aesthetic, cash tips at the end of the night, dad rock, most of the clients are cool.

      Cons

      Little pay, no benefits, fear mongering, gas lighting, micromanagement, no room for growth, management doesn't get a day off, rules are applied to who they pick and choose, and they literally think hairstylist are servers because we offer a "service."
