Pros

Learn how to suppress your opinion. Learn how to keep your mouth shut. I HEARD that employees in HQ in California get treated better

Cons

First of all, No 401K, so you cannot even invest into your future/retirement The branch in Grand Prairie has very high turnover rat, so all the work left is a mess. When you work, you will spend most of your work fixing other people’s stuff, so you cannot even do your own work. Just think of all the bad traits that your boss can have. That horrible boss is here. He is a dictator and short tempered, and throw his pens around when he’s angry. You are not allowed to express your opinions to go against his opinion. I would imagine that is what North Korea is like with Kim Jong-Un. He curses all the time (not very professional) and seldom curse AT you. He will also give you a crap load of work and expedite you and rush you so you will be stressed out. Working hours are supposed to be M-F 8am-5pm, but if you leave at 5pm, he will call you at 5:10 pm to give you more work and expect you to stay until 9pm (if you keep leaving at 5pm, he will also threaten you about not giving you a raise). Once he does not like you, he will keep chewing you out, which will stress you out and eventually drive you out. I know one guy, who is being sponsored here to get a green card, but the horrible boss, when he’s in a bad mood, often threatens him that he will fire him and he will not get his green card. The horrible boss also has HR power so he fires people if he doesn’t like you. There is also no opportunity of promotion as the horrible boss is basically the Team manager for Process Team, Production Team, Engineering Team, QC Team, and Materials team. And, lastly? It says mechanical engineer hourly is $33-$36 hourly or salary is $48k, but that’s wrong. We either start at $47K or even $45K depending on the horrible boss' mood.
