Hours are abundant, turn over is very high so if you want overtime it’s usually there.
Cons
Extremely incompetent and inconsistent management. Things like derby day, managers spend more time choosing what to wear than they do with their employees. Most “training” is trial by fire. Personality politics run the entire place, if you are not a yes man this isn’t the place for you.
Worked here during a transitional period in my life while looking for a full-time position. Managers were very kind, tips could be good on busy nights. Time-off was easy to acquire and everyone did their job efficiently (bussers, hosts, runners, cooks, servers)
Cons
There could be drama at times between servers or members of the kitchen. I kept to myself for the most part, or mediated when necessary. It could get messy at times- catty. Hours could be really, really long. Some 10 hour shifts always on your feet. Being around gamblers all day definitely takes a toll on your mental wellbeing too... customers could be hard to be around.
