Pros

None. Don't believe the hype they try to sell

Cons

A wannabe SpaceX with long hours and overambitious goals, without the SpaceX money and clout. A very odd culture that doesn't value morale and is quick to fire people

A turn for the worst after Series A

Pros

Great and smart engineers working there.

Cons

- Management is unwilling to invest in time and money to assist. - Culture over there is very much transactional. Lots of "I'll get that information for you only if you get this for me." No one is willing to help each other out. - A lot of people looking to blame others. - Their business product of selling SDA data is not getting commercial traction, unfortunately. So they are scrambling for any source of revenue in the space industry (many of which have several competitors). - Don't see a great outlook in the next several years.

Pros

-Work on plenty of cool projects -Constant new learning opportunities

Cons

-Average to below-average pay -Tremendously overworked 12+ hour days -All employees are dispensable. 5 coworkers laid off in 1 month and the employees didn't know why -Leadership has high IQ but low EQ (emotional intelligence) -No overtime pay despite expectation to work double time -Most people come in at 9am but often work until 12am or later, coworkers worked until 3-4am several times -Culture is very much toxic and burnout heavy -Little transparency, leaving employees clueless on expectations -Job insecurity and a lack of leadership accountability or support -Follow the cultish environment or be punished -Disrespectful and unprofessional at times, "locker room" talk at work -Illusion of hyper innovation to get relentless productivity out of you (great for the company, but horrible for you & your family) -Scrambling to find revenue generating contracts -Several vendors were owed huge amounts of money (6+ figures) for long periods of time (many months/year) -No retirement 401k match or other industry standard benefits

Turion Space Response

We're sorry to hear your experience was negative. Turion Space is fast-growing, highly competitive startup with ambitious goals, and the pace and workload can be intense. This environment can be incredibly rewarding for those who thrive in it, but we also recognize that it isn’t the right fit for everyone — and that’s okay. We also want to address the concern around dismissals. At Turion, no employee is ever dismissed without a reason. While individuals may not always agree with or support the rationale behind a decision, every termination is based on clear justification and careful consideration. Turion continues to invest in our team with several enhancements to our 2026 benefit offerings, including 401k employer contribution, 100% covered dental and vision as well as competitive medical and voluntary benefits.
