Pros

Tutor Associates is a company that genuinely cares about their tutors in a way that I haven't seen out of previous tutoring employers. They have a complex set of support networks to help you thrive such as materials and program managers. Additionally, the compensation felt very fair for the work.

Cons

Scheduling can be complicated because of the nature of working with families directly. The clientele are wealthy, mostly upper-east-siders who don't understand how much changing schedules affects your life, especially if this is one of multiple obligations you have. Additionally, it is not consistent work. Some weeks I would tutor 15+ hours. Some as few as 3 or 4.

Cons

poor communication channels between tutors and administrative staff, hours depend on time of year, online resources are tricky to navigate
