      Good Food, Weird Growing pains.

      Pros

      It was a very cool environment and good pay for a burger joint. Non-corporate atmosphere, laid back but firm expectations, and awesome ownership.

      Cons

      After some time there, things started to get more and more corporate. People whom we had never seen would come out of nowhere and berate us, or talk to us like we were incompetent. Turns out those people were investors or shareholders, etc. So, the company that prides itself on being different and not-at-all like those corporate chains, decided to go corporate. That added along with it new rules, challenges, demands, and stress practically overnight.

      Laid back atmosphere Cool customers 50% employee discount Free food when you work doubles Pays well for a restaurant

      Cons

      Management is extremely rude Lots of favoritism from management Lots of contradictions from management, you'll get told to do something one way and someone else will you tell you otherwise. MAKE UP YOUR MIND. Scheduling can be disorganized Very short or no breaks Twisted Root has the potential to be a great place to work but the management is so uncaring that I don't plan on staying with the company once the summer is over.

      Pros

      Good starting pay. Tips add to hourly rate at a rate of $2 an hour on average when working Front of House.

      Cons

      Good employees are overworked. Management is poor at enforcing standards on the entire staff so those who come into the job wiling to work are the ones who end up with the lion's share of responsibility.
