Pros

This is a firm that trusts it's employees to put forth a fair effort during their workweek There is limited middle management, which is good because time is not wasted on meetings and unnecessary paperwork. However, you must be mature enough to handle the freedom. It has a good client base and a very educated group of employees. This profession is not for everyone, but you can certainly have a rewarding career if you put forth the effort.

Cons

Dealing with adjusters, attorneys, and insured individuals can be challenging. Specific geographic markets are sensitive to business models of clients. No set cost of living adjustments on salary.

Pros

Very understanding, caring, and flexible management. Awesome team of fellow engineers with vast technical knowledge to lean on. Quick paced work environment and no two days are the same. Great balance between field and office work. Very flexible work environment.

Cons

As with any forensic firm, dealing with the dynamic of various clients needs requires constant attention.
