Needs to refocus on its mission

Pros

It's impossible to be overworked because there is such a bottleneck that work gets to you in dribs and drabs. Great benefits like time to use the onsite gym.

Cons

Inefficient, bureaucratic, unfocused, glitchy products. Telework is pretty limited.

Pros

Being exposed to new technologies, flexible work hours, and able to telework.

Cons

Leadership is not supportive or fosters collaboration of highly talented people. After reading other reviews from employees and their experiences with leadership, can't say that they aren't wrong. This organization has so much potential to grow and foster stellar talent with a unique mission to the Warfighter. However, leadership is holding them back with their ineffectiveness, lack of action, and deficiencies of true compassion of their employees. Favoritism and concerning mistreatment of employees in areas of respect and employee rights is unfortunately an area of concern. Those items along results directly in moral tanking.

The dead end of Gov jobs

Pros

Job security if you don't care about advancement.

Cons

No one knows what they're doing. There is no training, no SOP's, no real communication. Instead of working together, the directorates actively work against one another. The customer side of things is back burnered because no one has any answers to simple questions. Leadership is a joke. People are in high paid/leadership positions because they've been in the agency for years but don't have simple knowledge of things, like how to format an email or memo. If you have concerns and voice them, you're considered a "problem" and they just wait for you to leave rather than address the problem which has cost the agency at least 35 great employees.
