Pros

Friendly providers, free lunches , And can be late and call in all the time without being reprimanded. And be promoted to higher position even if you don't have the experience or knowledge . Just have to be good at brown nosing

Cons

Management sucks across the board. Regardless if it's your onsite manager, practice manager, RCM and anyone else above these individuals. They do not hold bad/ lazy employees accountable for there actions. We have the same people and staff that are tardy and call in all the time. And nothing is ever said or done about it. Not sure why they even require people to sign the attendance policy when you can just stroke into work work late literally everyday. They promote individuals in position based on who they like or consider a friend rather than actually given the position to someone with actual experience. They give no recognition to the hard working employees that go over and beyond. The communication is horrible left hand never knows what the right hand is doing. A lot of long time employees are leaving. Seems to be a email just about every weak someone is leaving. Benefits suck!! We are told that our out of pocket will cheaper if we see a USMD provider that's a lie not understanding why we can't get discount on labs or procedures if we work with the company. I have patient that work for quest that get there labs done free since they work with the company. Just constant changes , poor leadership and a lot of turnover.

Pros

It's a paycheck, but that is about it.

Cons

Too much favoritism. You have to be in a "Clique" to get any sort of respect. I'm not looking for kudos from management, but it would have been nice to get recognized for picking up the slack from others. Raises are nonexistent and if you do get one, they bring up old negative stuff to give you as little as possible.

Pros

The physician I worked for and the MA I worked with (our "pod") was amazing. We were an outstanding team. We had the toughest schedule of all the other pods with OT by every Friday morning.

Cons

USMD is allowing non physician corporate folks to run USMD "A physician led company". The manager's full time job is to justify their own salaries, or need for them full time. Way too many managers with little actual hands on medical office experience telling everyone with the experience what they're doing wrong on a monthly basis and in the two years I was there I got not one penny raise. Nor did the MA I worked with and a few others I was hired with. We were promised the possibility of large bonuses that were dependent on our measures with Wellmed in December 2014 if we just bring those numbers up by the next December. We turned a meezly 9% met into a 90% met yet when it was time for that bonus HR told me that we did not meet our measures as a clinic whole so we didn't get any bonus which ironically turned out to be our opportunity for that as our raise that year.
