      Pros

      I love being a nurse and caring for my patients. Benefits are pretty good. There are some who care about their employees.

      Cons

      Some departments treat employees as just a body, whether they do great work or not. Can be scary when there are nurses who just care about what's on their smartphone and social media instead of their patients. Yes, parking can be a problem as mentioned, but that's not number one. Poor management is probably number 1.

      Pros

      Level I Trauma Center, beginning to be noticed for the research it does. The focus on safety is turning around a lot of the issues for patients and staff.

      Cons

      Allows bullying to exist without efforts to stop it. Employees must pay for parking. Managers have little respect from upper management and are afraid of making changes for fear of losing their jobs which happens frequently.

      Pros

      The only pro to working here was the good health insurance option, PTO allowance and the promise of retirement in 20 years.

      Cons

      The people in my department were uneducated, racist, impossible to work with. Management was not flexible with scheduling at all. If my kid was sick and I couldn't come it, there was no flex time. The pay was crap and they give false promise of easy growth. When I tried to transfer for another dept. because I was miserable there and had just graduated college, I was fired a week later.
