Pros

Nice colleagues in some departments

Cons

Unqualified top management; – Favoritism; – They call themselves an international company but they are not. They are not open minded and educated enough to use the best world practices; you will not get any new experience and you will not be able to add smth new. Just leave this bubble how it is and do not waste your time; – blame culture; no proper onboarding program and employee development, scheduled 1on1, because they do not know what it is; they just fire people in 1-3 months; if they don’t fire them directly they will make them to leave the company sending toxic and passive aggressive messages, or ignoring them, or isolating them from information and processes, and they will just speak/text in Armenian only. They do not even understand not speaking English with foreign teammates is just unacceptable at normal international companies. – absence of any processes. The company exists 8 years – still feels like a start up in the worst sense of the word; – no benefits they put on their website (gym, “A variety of fun corporate events organized by HR”, Armenian classes and many other things they promise in the beginning). But it’s the lesser evil.

Dear Former Employee, We’re sorry you feel like you had a bad experience at Ucraft. We would have really appreciated it if you had informed us about the problems you faced during your employment and discussed those issues with your team lead and the HR department. Although Ucraft has many employees who are not from Armenia, and we do have another office in the US, we are still a local company on our way to becoming international. Our day-to-day, informal communication between Armenian employees, can be in Armenian. Nonetheless, our business communication is 100% in English - and so is our communication with non-Armenian employees. The benefits we mentioned in our employee package remain available. The gym was under renovation for a couple of months earlier this year. We are very surprised at some of the points mentioned in this feedback since we pride ourselves on being open-minded and giving everybody a fair chance - that’s exactly what the 3-month probation period is for. Nonetheless, thank you for pointing this out. It’s hard for us to hear that you had a negative experience, as we always do our best to provide our employees with a positive working environment. Have a great day!

Pros

You must either be the relative of the CEO or any person in the top level management, or become a yes man to experience the pros

Cons

The CEO thinks people working with him are his slaves and does not have an open mind to listen and understand rational ideas, smokes hookah during meetings, and highly unprofessional behaviour with employees, scolding and belittling them in front of external people in meetings.

Regarding concerns about unprofessional behavior, we want to assure you that our entire team is dedicated to treating all employees with utmost respect and professionalism without exception. Pros

This is an honest company, all financial obligations and paperwork are good. Timely salary and assistance of administrative staff.

Cons

- Bad planning, a parody of Scrum - Lack of adaptation, lack of clear goals - Useless Scrum masters, there are a lot of them, but they don’t use even half of the Scrum activities, just young employees who scroll through Jira - Lack of timely feedback, no one says anything, all decisions are made behind your back - High turnover of staff and biased attitude towards employees. This is not management, this is a subjective attitude and unwillingness to take on one's part of their responsibility. - The product is quite complicated, many employees do not know how to use it themselves, and even more so, it will take a lot of time from the user. If you think that you can quickly make a site there, then you are in for a big disappointment. You can drag and drop elements endlessly and not get a result. For a small business it is too complicated, for a corporate client it is too primitive. In both cases, this is a lot of bugs and just inconvenient. Yes, you can quickly make a business card website using Ucraft. But to make a more complex site, or an e-commerce project, is a big pain. I don't see how you can use it every day. There are many simpler solutions like WordPress, Tilda and a million others. Therefore, at Ucraft you will find an ambiguous product, weak management, and an unprofessional attitude from some colleagues who are not able to plan, and prefer a biased attitude of open communication....
