Average to Above average pay depending on department. Likes to keep people working and not lay off at all costs. Jobs very in difficulty ranging from Mind Numbingly simple to extremely difficult. Skilled trade that takes a long time to master. Climate controlled atmosphere.. You wont sweat in the summer and you wont freeze in the winter. Liberal bathroom and break room privileges. Go to bathroom when you want without asking, go to break room for water when you want without asking. Family owned and privately traded. Been in business for 50 years.
Cons
Management can be childish at times. Union is not very good. Company can change policies and procedures without union approval New policies implemented recently allows the company to fire you instantly. Union Contract gives the company almost total control and leaves the employee helpless to defend themselves because everything has the Claus of "Up to company discretion". If management does not like you. They will find ways to get get rid of you. They talk about a team setting, but find ways to put everyone against each other. Fellow employee's can can be childish. (do as I say, not as I do) Does not accept Dr. Excuses unless you are hospitalized for 3 or more days. Not allowed to schedule time off unless you have PTO time or Vacation. Can demand you to work 7 days a week. Does not care about personal life and will terminate you for them. IE: No baby sitter, Level 3 snow emergencies, Quick to fire, slow to hire.
