      Pros

      Decent discount after several months, positive group of co-workers.

      Cons

      Generally a disorganized management - very little training, and the training manager is not particularly good at training you to do more than memorize information about product. After leaving, they took more than a month to get me my last paycheck.

      Pros

      They have representatives from different parent companies like Patagonia come to teach staff about merchandise and offer snacks to go along with the staff meetings.

      Cons

      Hours are not flexible, management operates top down and doesn't allow room for growth for people trying to get their foot in the door.

      Pros

      the gear discount is pretty good especially when you get special pricing from the vendor reps. Also decent flexibility with scheduling. Also if you love this industry it is a great stepping stone to other opportunities

      Cons

      Inconsistent policies from management, always changing as a new "better" way of doing things is tested. Must always be busy even when no one is in the store
