Remote, Fast Paced, PTO, Sports-Company

Cons

Due to constant lay-offs Underdog created a culture where the senior managers and higher ups work against you if they see you as a threat to their own job security, constant regulatory changes, Unstable work environments.

Pros

Leaders are unusually willing to bet on new ideas and give individual engineers room to drive things end to end. They are also genuinely competent operators who know how to navigate a complex regulatory landscape, and they've proven time and time again that they're not afraid to make bold calls to help the company succeed. The bar for coworkers is high but the culture is collaborative. It is easy to get unblocked and easy to find people who care about the craft. Ownership is real. If you scope a problem well, you can move fast on it. The surface area to make an impact across the org is larger than at most companies this size.

Cons

Pace is fast and scope can sprawl, especially in roles that span multiple functions. Work-life balance is largely self-managed. There is always more to do than time to do it, so setting limits is on you. Takes a certain type of person to work here.
