      Pros

      Great company before McQuaid took over. He's done his best to ruin a legacy.

      Cons

      Nepotism . A lot of talented people pushed aside to give jobs to family who frankly don't know what they are doing.

      Pros

      There are no good reasons to work for the Union Leader. The only reason to work there used to be the pay, but since they've cut the pay, there is no reason to work there.

      Cons

      Bad management, no support, no training, no motivation to excel, lack of resources, no respect for employees. The paper is slashing benefits and outsourcing work to freelancers and contract personnel.

      Lots of great stories to cover, flexible hours and a chance to cover the presidential primary.

      Cons

      Minimal pay for some long hours. No chance for advancement or pay raise of any kind.
