It's not worth your health

Pros

WFH two days a week, but you have to purchase all your own equipment.

Cons

Absolutely no management or upper management (home office) involvement. Three people trying to keep up with the workload of should be 8. Continue to push NB and ideas on how to target profitable results, but we have no support or assistance to even process renewals. They are taking massive rate increases, and it's a take it or leave situation. Our agents hate us, and management and sales is left to take the blame. They do not pay bonuses!! Beware... it goes in your 401k which is not even partially vested until 3 years, but no employee lasts 3 years. People have quit for medical reasons. They will speak poorly about to agents after you leave. If you have substantial UW experience... dont bother, you have ZERO authority. The RVP doesnt even know how to work the own systems to support his team. It is very toxic and everyone is secretly looking to quit. You have good vacation time, but cant take due to workload so you're *encouraged* to work on PTO days.

Pros

Free k cups for coffee Compensation is above industry average but not worth your mental health

Cons

Company states in their mission that they’re “built on relationships and service”, but fails to perform to any of these expectations. Don’t take it from me, just ask the independent agents throughout Arizona and New Mexico. Nearly every employee in the Southwest branch has left in the last 2 years. Large work loads with little to no underwriting authority. Management is dysfunctional and leadership is non-existent Company places great emphasis on companywide initiatives like “Innovation Journey” but this is a pie in the sky idea that yields no great results and wastes an incredible amount of time

Once Again, Another Mediocre Company Claiming to be Family Friendly

Pros

a job with a paycheck

Cons

no bonus structure, yearly raises equal to inflation if you're lucky, no promotion opportunities, the absolute bare minimum maternity leave (only FMLA time off after exhausting all of your vacation time), no paternity leave, and to top things if you have vacation time left over at the end of your two weeks they will not pay it out unless you live in a state that requires them to do so (note: TX does not require companies to pay out vacation time, but a FAMILY FRIENDLY company certainly would regardless of state requirements). Your salary will always be less than your market value. They will try to convince you that it's worth it because it's such a "family friendly" company.
