Pros

Steady paycheck, kitchen to warm food, free unlimited coffee, company paid life insurance

Cons

No work/life balance, no care for mental health, if you work in DOR dept (collections for state) like I did you get no raises, no bonuses, no commission and yet expected to push hard for payments from extremely angry callers. The calls are almost always highly escalated and I got told to kms at least once or twice a day. Lots of politics and favoritism. If you have to take a few days off because you and your kids are extremely sick they fire you.
