Pros

Some really great and professional administrators. Most staff members are kind when they welcome you into the organization. The education departments are more diverse for years of experience and cultural backgrounds verses other UCC departments.

Cons

The Human Resources department will guide you to making decisions when you are having medical leave for pregnancies or medical procedures/illnesses. Urging you to use your current time off days prior to taking unpaid leave. Even with signing an FMLA, HR will force your administrators to have you sign documents that state you understand could lose a raise or be fired for taking time off for short term disabilities due to medical concerns.

Pros

UCC is a great organization for individuals seeking a place to work where your talents and skills will truly be used to benefit the community and serve others. The leadership and directors are all committed to doing what’s best for those that they serve, and the majority of the employees have been part of the organization for 10+ years. There is strong retention of employees as well as clients, and this is due to strong benefits and the opportunity to learn, grow, and contribute at a greater level over time. UCC strives for excellence, sets high standards for itself and its employees, and is proactive in addressing concerns and growing and investing in top performing staff. Leadership is supportive, understanding, and works hard to support all students, families, clients, and staff whenever possible.

Cons

Holding high standards and expecting excellent outcomes and improving performance overtime takes commitment, and requires staff to invest their time, energy, and effort into doing excellent work each day. Staff that are just looking for a place to clock in and clock out daily should look elsewhere.
