Pros

Location is accessible and teacher-colleagues are friendly and genuine, except those in management.

Cons

New teachers be warned. Management will pay you very little and overwork you. Give it a few weeks before you will eventually burn out. You may be required to work for 7 contact teaching hours every day and have minimal time to prepare for lessons. You will be assigned numerous covers for teachers who are constantly on leave because management is incapable of working out a simple coverage system. For minimum wage, your average teaching day could be: 9:30-11:30, 11:40-13:40, 20-minute lunch for you to breathe in your food, and then hourly lessons for kids who could be as young as three! So you’ll be a babysitter and nursery teacher for the rest of the afternoon. You will be monitored for time thievery so clocking in and out is a must as this goes to your KPIs. Your annual and medical leave is earned pro rata. Student complaints are rife and will not be filtered out so you will hear about them. This family business runs their company from a text book by Michael E Gerber’s “E-myth Revisited” and will attempt to make company-wide changes every time they finish a chapter. It is only a matter of time before they collapse after running so many people over on the tracks. Avoid this place. You are better off working for a school that respects your value and pays what you are worth.

Pros

Good office environment, nice central location. Most co-workers are helpful and friendly.

Cons

- Some like to turn over their words and complain across departments. Toxic working environment. - Management love to say they "trust" you to make decisions, so you have to responsible to cover all mess when issues appeared. They need people who can take up responsibility for them, even if instructions are given by them. - Management do things following their mood and doesn't take in good suggestions if they think things are not important. - Many things can become very complicated unnecessarily.

Thank you for your feedback. We're glad to hear you appreciated our office environment and colleagues and we do take great pride in this being a fun and enjoyable place to work. Regarding your concerns, we're on a journey towards continuous improvement, with a transition to a more responsibility-driven workplace being a significant part of it. We understand this shift can be challenging and we're sorry if it caused you any discomfort. Nevertheless, it's crucial for our growth that management can give directives and employees can carry out those directives with self-responsibility. These are the growing pains of any evolving company. We deeply value open communication and employee suggestions, and all we can do is promise to improve our receptiveness in these areas. Change can be tough, and it's always disheartening to see someone leave. Please understand that your feedback is invaluable to us, and we will use it to enhance our work environment. Thank you for sharing your experience; it gives us the opportunity to grow and better serve our team moving forward.

Cons

Incompetent School Management: The school's management displayed a clear lack of competence in handling various aspects of the institution. Decisions were often made without proper consideration of their impact on teachers and students. This lack of strategic planning resulted in a chaotic and disorganized environment, which hindered the overall effectiveness of the institution. Salary Undercutting: One of the most concerning issues was the school's practice of undercutting teachers' and staffs salaries. Empty Promises and Lack of Delivery: The management at the school frequently made grand promises to both teachers and staffs but consistently failed to deliver on those promises. This not only led to disappointment and frustration but also eroded trust in the institution. Whether it was improved resources, professional development opportunities, or better classroom conditions, the management's inability to follow through on commitments created a sense of disillusionment among both staff and students.
