Pros

I really enjoyed my time working at Universal Pictures. CONTENT: There is a great slate of content, and while it isn't all 'blockbusters', it's diverse enough that there's something for everyone to enjoy. SALARY & BENEFITS: I was paid a great salary I was happy with, plus bonus, plus yearly structured increases. Summer hours are a great bonus, and additional PTO. Having worked at 3/5 of the major studios - Universal has the best pay package, BY FAR. EDUCATION: There was always an open discussion to additional learning and education to benefit my career path. DAY TO DAY: Lots of great people work at Universal, so the day to day is quite enjoyable. Generally everyone in marketing loves film so it's fun to be surrounded by people who genuinely want to do the best by the content.

Cons

The structure and process driven nature of the business means that things aren't as reactive as they could be, and can take some time for approval. It's really hard to crack into the company given there is so much hiring from within, which is great to build up jnrs, but also people stay forever so it's actually quite tough to get a job here!
