Pros

Hybrid work option Snacks (although not super healthy snacks)

Cons

The amount of mansplaining at Universal Yums is exhausting. Your work is not valued, you are not valued. All of the executives (with the exception of the CMO, who is awesome) are emotionally about two years old. Please please stay away from this company. I truly regret not reading the Glassdoor reviews before I took the job. Also, DO NOT work here if you are a woman and plan to start a family. You will be let go. I mean, honestly, just don’t work here if you are a woman. Actually, just don’t work here at all.

Pros

Clean environment, snacks, hybrid work

Cons

Everything you are reading regarding this company is spot on. It is embarrassing how accurate it is. This should have been a home run company. Great idea, energetic owners and staff, and a potentially unifying concept. All of it is a sham. The one owner is smart, but is unbelievably insecure and assumes his intellect makes him an expert in every job, including the ones he hires people for. No idea is good unless it is his. The other owner enables him and is a control freak as well. Neither one of them care about their employees, and every interaction is actually driven by how they can make themselves feel self-important. They are condescending and talk down to everyone because they are a young couple that have experienced immense success at our age. They expect loyalty, but show none. They expect honesty, but are disingenuous about almost everything they do. As long as it "looks good," then it is. They suck people in with money, set up fake bonus programs, and chase all of their talent out the door, including their managers. When you lose 8 executives in a couple of years, 4 HR leaders, and people that helped you grow the company, that should tell you everything you need to know. Don't join thinking you're going to get promoted. Why would you want to? It is only a matter of time before they work to fire you. If you are thinking about starting a family, think again. Trust is a two way street. They trust on one. The CEO thinks that he can listen to a podcast, and then become a great leader. Potentially the most ineffective leader you will ever be exposed to. Do yourself a favor and find a different place to be. This won't end well, for you or them.
