Pros

Fun location. Beautiful building and nature around, yet close to downtown and Arbor Land. Really nice people to work with who care about you and your needs. Very accommodating when you need time to balance family and work life. If you are self driven and work well independently this could be a good fit.

Cons

Benefits are pretty expensive. The culture is pretty divided among the different departments. Some departments have better or higher morale then others, evidence of this in the higher turnover rate. While the building is very nice it needs maintenance and doesn't provide a normal office type atmosphere. Incentives are not tied well to individual performance which makes it hard to feel motivated in achieving goals.

Accounting - University Bank

Pros

Had a great vacation package for a new hire. Starting off at 18 days and received all federal holidays. Was able to be exposed to a lot of different areas within the accounting department. Was able to work with team in a close environment.

Cons

Negative culture all around. Such a high turn over rate and this didn’t concern management or executives at all. HR did not provide a fostering environment within the company. It was all up to the individual department. Unfortunately, the accounting department lacked true leadership ability. Very hard to communicate with management and management did want to communicate with the associates as they felt it was beneath them. Also management lacked any sense of direction of how to lead a team or achieve deadlines. Always was scrambling to get things done at the last minute. Ultimately, it was a very unsupportive and toxic environment.
