Some lovely people who made a few points of the day manageable

Cons

This company is the embodiment of the meme "Nah we're not gonna do that, try yoga". Never experienced this level of stress, or have been made to feel this small at a company before. Leadership is on another planet and demonstrates this every day by creating a convoluted line of communication between themselves and the lower employees where everything basically gets lost. I'm still recovering from my experience here. Rapid growth has been chosen over the health of employees, which is something they claim to pride themselves on caring about. Again, see meme.

They care more about dogs than they do their employees. Also, the majority of the reviews here are fake. There’s a lot of favouritism going on and discrimination. when someone gives them a bad review on here. They get their favourites to put a nice review. They are most likely going to respond to this with all the good stuff they do but the issues that occurs when you start working here are directly caused by them. Such a narcissistic organisation causing problems and gaslighting you by claiming to have solutions. Also, salaries are really bad. Other organisations are better. no point working for a place with crappy salaries and a bad work culture to be honest I don’t believe this organisation is going to survive the next four -five years. Also people are always leaving. This is a fact any organisation that has a high turnover like this is evidence that nobody likes it.

As you mentioned above, we respond to every review because we are very committed to listening to our employees and taking actionable feedback when we see it. Unfortunately, your review does not provide us with any concrete examples of behaviours or people processes which have led you to feel the way you do. We prioritise our team's well-being. One element of this is being a dog-friendly office. Many of our employees value this when working at Uptake. In terms of turnover, the number of people leaving Uptake due to resignation is actually lower than the national average. Finally, I'd like to address your point regarding us asking people to add reviews to Glassdoor. We have not asked anyone to leave a review on Glassdoor. Please do speak to someone about your concerns. If you do not want to talk to a member of the leadership team, please do speak to one of the HR team.
