Pros

I got to be great friends with my clients and most of the fellow sales people that were there before me and those that left, and we have still remained friends.

Cons

Management is horrible. They have been in this industry for WAY too long and need to come to terms with the idea that the Phone Book is useless. Older people still use it, but as they fade away, so will the books. Managers don't even know how to use or sell the digital products. When a sales rep is more knowledgable than they are, the sales rep gets insulted. Which brings me to that... Sales people are constantly belittled, made fun of, and even yelled at in front of everyone. It's embarassing to sit there in front of your peers being yelled at and compared to. It's also embarassing to sit there while another good sales rep is being made fun of (even to the point of crying) in front of you. Monday morning meetings always made me ill. Sunday nights I could never sleep and knowing I had to be in that meeting on Monday mornings made me litterally throw up. The PAY is not worth being treated this way. The JOB is not worth being treated this way. The number one reason in the world that good employess leave a business is because of bad managers. They will follow you around all day and spy on you. They will call clients just to make sure you went there. This is a low paying job to begin with. If a rep wants to sit home all day they will starve. So managers need to trust employess and put more time and effort into being GOOD managers instead of harrassing and bullying sales reps. Managers take all of the good accounts and hand out small accounts that they know are in collections or are out of buisness and hand those to reps to handle. I could go on and on and on about why this is not a good atmosphere to work in. In fact, it's the worst job experience I've ever had and leaving that place was like ending an abusive marriage. Reasons I left: Bad... HORRIBLE managers Small accounts and accounts taken away from reps with each book and assigned to new reps The Phone book is dying. I can't even give this a one star rating. It doesn't deserve that.

Pros

Except for required 8 hrs. of cold calling every Monday, you are able to manage your own schedule and can be out of the office most of the time.

Cons

Employees are required to use their own cars, no mileage reimbursement and their own cellphones - also no reimbursement. This job pays $8.00/hr. and will cost you a fortune out of your own pocket to work at this company.
