Pros

Great co-workers and travel accomodations

Cons

Throughout my time at V2, I struggled with “project management.” I sat down with management and told them I had to work overtime to keep up with my workloads and the tedious extras that came with their outdated processes (they worked from various excel spreadsheets and had little visibility into workloads). Management assured me this was a “me issue” and provided high-level solutions that never really did much for me. Eventually, I began reaching out to my coworkers to find insights into how . The overwhelming response (100% of the coworkers I asked) was they all were working unpaid overtime to keep up with workloads. I bit the bullet, embraced 50+ hour work weeks, and positioned myself to ask for a substantial raise. On my final employee review with the company, I was given glowing reviews from members of the management team. They praised my hard work, the quality of my writing, and the improvement of my project management skills. I thanked them, and then begin explaining how I’d been using a personal project management tool to stay organized but was still working unpaid overtime to keep up with workloads. I informed them that I spoke with several members of the staff and was quite concerned to learn that everyone was drowning and working extra hours to combat chaotic workloads... The information was disregarded and ignored entirely by the members of the management team I sat down with. Three business days later, I was terminated for poor performance...the turnover and employee burnout is real (despite extensive efforts to suppress that knowledge) and recognized. They just aren’t changing it. Whatever your position is, you will be underpaid by the amount of work they force on you. They preach culture, and the people are great individually, but management is so detached from accounts. Account leaders and management operate with a “what have you done for me lately” attitude with pizza parties tossed in.

Pros

The employees are generally nice and it's an overall friendly atmosphere. There are opportunities for growth as long as you work hard for it. There is no strict dress code and it's very casual. They have an open door policy and as a small company, there's no red tape.

Cons

This is a very clique-ish environment with a lot of talking behind each other's backs. It's less about collaboration and more about individual recognition - gossiping, cattiness and making you look bad. You have access to senior management but there is little support to overcome challenges or develop professionally, unless they like you and they think you are worth being helped. It's very hierarchical and you can get easily siloed in your role.
