poor leadership

Pros

- small, so you can be involved in multiple projects.

Cons

- constantly expected to work long hours and weekends. - management weighs your efforts relative to your peers not based on their request (even if specializations and duties differ among them). This sets up an adversarial dynamic among the team instead of healthy helpful one. - marketing has the ear of the CEO. this gives marketing the control to make decisions that should be made by other groups/people.

Worst Job I have Ever Had

Pros

None. Only pro is that I was able to quit before killing myself after months of not being treated or respected as an actual human being.

Cons

Where to begin.... a quick glimpse of the level of toxicity- on my second week I was on a call where the CEO and COO were yelling at each other about some issue. The CEO attacked and interrupted the entire call. A horrible leadership style. - If you have no knowledge of the industry to begin with...you're set up to fail. It is like going to a foreign country where everyone expects you to speak fluently and training consists of videos being thrown at you, which is no help when you have zero background of anything. Heaven forbid you dare ask any questions. You will be attacked and told how stupid you are. - You will be attacked constantly without any context or understanding. Can't even send an email or try to explain anything without the CEO interrupting you and telling you that you are dead wrong and need to do everything her way. The definition of toxic. - Good luck writing any emails or suggesting anything- you will be shut down and made to feel like you are an idiot. I have multiple screenshots to prove this. - CEO will freak out at you and requires you to stop what you're doing so she can yell at you for whatever issue she decides to focus on that day. Legit makes you feel like her slave. - You are treated like the servant to the CEO, not respected as an employee who is helping to contribute to their success. - CEO will pick out anything and everything that she doesn't like and attacks you without first trying to understand the full background or situation.
