DON’T DO IT

Pros

This company has absolutely none

Cons

The problems with Valiant are all tied to the Board of Directors and the CEO. They are all egocentric and don’t care one bit about the employee. If something doesn’t go the CEOs way he gets pissed off, and throws a tantrum. Valiant will let people go without any notice whatsoever, especially when it is to make an extra buck. The benefit plans are awful and very expensive. The Human Resources department (aka People Operations) don’t know what they are doing. They have messed up employees pay, and benefits consistently since the beginning. Keep in mind this company is only a few years old. You would think that a company this young would want to do it right and take care of their employees since they consider themselves to be a services oriented company. Wrong. How could you trust a company where the leadership doesn’t even follow their own core values. Everything that other people have reported that are problems with Valiant are true. Don’t be fooled, Run. Run away.

Love the job, hate the company

Pros

The people around you at the job site are great. The customers we service are the best.

Cons

Corporate is largely clueless. When Valiant was spun off from Cubic, the plan (if there was one) was poor. HR is lacking across the board. No one understands the policies or can answer/resolve issues. What positions you have previously held means much more than your actual capabilities. Management seems much more interested in who you might know instead of what you can do. Benefits are the worst in the industry. Health care? Over priced for weak coverage. Dental is with provider no one accepts. Very much a caste system in place as to who gets 401K.

Potential, but...

Pros

Good group of dedicated, experienced employees at various levels of the organization.

Cons

The company is trying to grown and while it has a good vision of where it wants to be, it unfortunately lacks woefully in its execution. It has a big company mentality with a small company budget that has lead to an overworked, stressed out workforce merely trying to hang on to make ends meet. This translates to constant turnover over the last year from staff level employees to senior level management.
