Pros

Medical benefits were paid for by the company. Not many other pros.

Cons

This company has the mindset of a mom and pop shop but has grown to be an actual organization and needs to start operating like one. The Human Resources Department does not handle employee relations as effectively as it should. The employees form cliques and if you’re not in said clique, you won’t be there for long because you will either be bullied out, or put in such a hostile work environment, you can’t tolerate it. Many employees have complained about bullying, and HR and upper management does nothing. (Law suit waiting to happen). Anytime this issue was brought to HR and upper management, they would tell employees to walk around egg shells around certain employees rather than address the actual issue at hand. Certain employees have made this bullying behavior acceptable due to the amount of time they have been there and it affects morale and the work ethic of those around them. The Assistant to the CEO is a prime example of this. This woman bullies, lies and creates hostile work environments for many employees over the years but HR and the CEO do not handle the situation even when employees leave because of her actions or are in tears on a weekly basis because of her crazy, erratic behavior. She is a cancer to the organization and you should deal with that. The turnover rate is extremely high at this organization and the lack of structure and consistency from management is the reason why. Put aside the employees, the actual job and every other con, the actual building is a rat maze of offices and outdated. There is nothing around there except Taco Bell and 7-11 so pack a lunch. While on this topic, some members would leave for 2-3 hours for “lunch meetings off site with board members” and come back with freshly done hair or nails done. Hard to respect upper management when you see that constantly. There are many, many issues with this place. I urge you to look elsewhere for employment. However, if you enjoy waking up and your first thought is “I hate my job”, then by all means, choose VCH. If you park in front of the building at work and think “I wonder what kind of hell will be brought on to me today, should I go in?” Then again, by all means, choose VCH. If you keep your office door closed because you’re too busy from the hostile work environment your forced to work in, then look no more, VCH is the place for you. As for the Administration Office, there are many people that don’t really do much, but have been there for years

Pros

It has a parking lot, has flexibility for personal issues that may arise, has friendly staff, can at times feel like family and they are working on increasing benefits and bonuses

Cons

upstairs/downstairs issues with communication and implementation, and pay less than other clinics, or health care organizations, though they are smaller and are a small non-profit
