      Unrewarding and undervalued

      Pros

      Client Relations team are welcoming and supportive, good exposure to family and private law if interested in the sector, reasonable remuneration.

      Cons

      Leadership are inaccessible and highly critical, Client Relations as a function is not valued with no career progression opportunities, staggered hours are exhausting and unreasonable, high churn of team members with dissatisfaction. High-stress environment with little support from HR or other support systems.

      I recommend you avoid at all costs

      Pros

      Met some great people although almost all of the people I admired have moved on to new firms. Good money compared to other family firms.

      Cons

      Had really unfortunate experiences at the firm that were flagged to senior members and never actioned. It felt like a lawless firm run by personality and without proper corporate structure. Some senior individuals were happy to throw team members under the bus. Felt like people were being fired without reason. Would not recommend to my worst enemy.

      Trainee Solicitor

      Pros

      Some of the people in the office are really lovely. The work can be interesting, depending on which fee earner you are working for. The offices are really nice, they're open plan so it's easy to talk to anyone, plenty of desk room.

      Cons

      Management don't do anything to help you manage your workload. Some people stay extremely late on a regular basis and receive no support. The atmosphere is too competitive due to the bonus structure. There is not always the nicest atmosphere in the office, if the fee earners are stressed.
