Pros

Work from home. Decent pay. Growth opportunities within company Great skills learned here

Cons

Micromanagement Vendor applications are “down” daily Constant push for increased productivity with no errors Guidelines/directives are different depending on who you ask and the time of day. Micromanagement Over promises production to their clients/contracts Poor management Management in meetings ALL day long. Every day. Micromanagement Self-thinking is discouraged Guidelines changing daily Micromanagement Keep staff in the dark about stumbling blocks or challenges the company is facing (directive comes to “stop” or “hold” immediately on such but no explanations of why). Micromanagement No longer a family and friendly environment. No longer “family first”

Where do I even begin?

Pros

At first, this job seemed great. I could work anywhere in the country, they told me about how I could even move and keep my job. I was sold on the idea of being able to work from home which isn't common in the medical field, especially during this pandemic. I learned about risk adjusting and things that might be of value to other employers. It was very easy to leave since I didn't have the chance to build any level of workplace friendships. Great place to work if you like to be glued to your seat for 9 hours a day(8:00A-5:00P) without any breaks.

Cons

If you get hired, disregard your contract because nothing they tell you will remain the same. But, if you like the rules of your job changing frequently and without notice, this might work for you. This is what they mean by being flexible. This company is very disorganized without clear direction. They're expanding and they love to hold meetings to brag about company growth but don't show any genuine appreciation for the employees. They have taken micromanaging to the next level. Employees are treated like children. Every second of your day must be accounted for. Don't make a mistake or you'll be met with passive-aggressive managers. They expect new people to be perfect and very fast to meet their demands. No one can stay in this kind of negative environment for long.

Pros

Working from home, that's it

Cons

When I started this job, it was literally perfect. At the time we were still going into offices a few days per week, with work from home opportunity. It was so flexible, we made our own schedule, got our work done for the day and managed our schedules/inventory on our own. We had weekly meetings over the phone with one manager, to touch base about any issues or updates. Other than that, our manager didn't check in much, just assumed that things were good and you were getting your work done, and we were. Things were great, people were happy. Fast forward to the past year or two, management has become EXTREME. They went behind the employees back and started tracking our work/time it takes to do the work, and then came out with a furious company wide meeting basically accusing us of stealing their money because although we were getting our 10-12 required charts a day in, it wasnt taking everyone the full 8 hour day, therefore we could not be trusted. It is now to the point they are monitoring every minute we work, along with a highly detailed and monitored calendar system. We work through a program that literally times every minute you are working, and if every minute of your 8 hour day is not accounted for, it better be documented on your calendar under an APPROVED calendar entry. Honestly, I completed more charts per day when we weren't micromanaged, because I don't have any reason to go above and beyond for this company. And thank God I already had that mindset BEFORE they took away yearly bonuses and started this "incentive" program that they literally made IMPOSSIBLE to understand. There was absolute confusion, but many participated, even those that didnt MEAN to participate. It was not an opt in type of incentive program. Unfortunately for us, those that did participate were punished after management greatly screwed up payments for not days, not weeks but MONTHS, were not at all transparent about it, and are now forcing those employees to pay back the money that was overpaid because of their mistake. Management does not own up to anything, they do not listen to or hear what their employees are saying, nor do they care. They always said that they wanted to provide a wonderful work\life balance, and they used to, but now they are the furthest thing from it. Now, I cant even go to the bathroom on their time. I have to "pause" my work so that I don't get timed out of the program and have to make up for that time at the end of the day. I still have to go into offices, most people are fully remote, and there is absolutely no compensation for that time wise. The time it takes me to get ready to look presentable to go to an office, brush the snow off my car, wait for the office to get a computer ready for me, etc. Too bad. Make up for EACH of those minutes at the end of your day OR ELSE. No one should ever feel safe at this job, as there is absolutely NO job security. Every time a manager reaches out to me I think "well I'm probably getting fired" because odds are they are reaching out because you did something wrong. You are never doing enough. Over the years I have watched dedicated, long term employees, even managers, get fired out of the blue with absolutely no warning. There is no room for advancement in this company, and no opportunity for raises. It really is truly a shame that I am one of many who feel this way, because the job and company has potential to be amazing, and I know that because IT WAS! DO NOT APPLY TO THIS JOB. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!
