VCare Technology sounds like an impressive place to work; however, all is not what it seems.
Pros
Unfortunately, there are not too many pros to speak of when it comes to VCare. They do offer a very lax dress code. I have seen people wearing slippers, bath robes, pajamas, etc. into the office with frequency.
Cons
The cons far outweigh the pros. There is a closed door policy for HR (who actually does not seem to be trained in HR and was just put into the role). For example, when asking about HR specific issues, you are told to speak with your supervisor, upper management, etc. HR actually seems annoyed when you ask questions. Very odd. Training is below par. You are given a pad of legal paper and write notes based on a PowerPoint. You are given very little in the way of product training or systems training. Once you complete training, you're put on the floor to shadow an "experienced" agent. Then, completely unready, you're put on the phones live to deal with overly complex issues from the client. Speaking of the client, this is a contact center meaning there are several clients under one roof. Some clients do MUCH more work than others, but the pay rate is the same for all clients. Also, the company simply follows the whims of the clients. There is no grievance system. If a client wants you removed from a project, with or without cause or warning, rest assured you will be removed regardless of the circumstances involved. Also, it is a daily struggle to stay motivated. I have seen clients revoke contracts leaving 20 people unemployed with merely a moments notice. I have witnessed unprofessional ramp downs. In addition, supervisors are unprepared for the roles they have been given. Lacking very little in management skills, they do not coach rather they give you vague metrics sent down from the client (which make no mathematical sense, but I digress). Never have I been in an environment like this. No raises. No benefits. No commissions on sales. No reason to stay.
