Pros

Work with some of the smartest and kindest people at Verishop who will go out of their way to help you succeed in your role.

Cons

There is no work culture at Verishop from the get go. While there are some small groups wanting to make a change, it is not going anywhere. The top of the leadership constantly drives employee turnovers as the only thing that matters is profitability and they will look at you as an investment. As soon as you are not returning them a 2x, 3x or 10x then you will be gone the next day. Do not expect your direct manager or anyone in the company to protect you, the only person with real decision making is the CEO and maybe his wife the CSO. Be aware, they despises opposite views on ideas so you have to be extremely careful what you say at all times. They will preach about being open but in reality as soon as you say something not going their way, you will find your self out the door. The top of this company has this poor *aim for the stars and hit the moon*mentality so whatever you do it is not good enough. Most of the founding group of members were either laid off, or has quit. The top of the company changes their mind like the ocean current changes directions. As soon as they change you will be expected to meet the speed of change and if the change doesn't need you, you are gone. Watch out when they intentionally place you in roles at a different area that isn't as important and few weeks later fire you. The benefits include unlimited PTO, haha what a joke, they will give you so much responsibility that if you take off you will not be able to do some stuff and next thing you know, you are "under performing" so see ya later. Most of the initial benefits were slowly taken away so be mindful of what was promised to you as a source of compensation. There is always a lack of visibility even though they claim to be a transparent company, trust me, it is not. The only presentation you will get is that everything is going well and we are doubling on specific metrics vs last. They never talk about the bad and the ugly. It's a tough business to be in and it is ugly and you will be worked like a dog to meet their expectations. Many of the younger crowds are significantly underpaid, and as cash become tighter they no longer want to keep employees that are based out of California. They are starting to hire outside of California for that reason. Bottom line is that everything is only about money, there is nothing else. If you want to work for a company that only cares about money and seems to be in the lack of ethics go right at it. DO NOT TRUST ANYONE, always watch your own back.

Pros

The health benefits are amazing. That is all.

Cons

Avoid at all costs. Leadership has zero management or mentoring experience. The owners are husband and wife… they are not above screaming in meetings… enough said there. Business model and initiatives change constantly. Very high turn over rate. Just avoid it.
