Inconsistent support and stagnant pay amid leadership changes and a noticeable decline over time
Pros
Flexible working arrangements, including remote working. There are supportive and helpful colleagues but the overall experience can vary significantly depending on the account or project you are assigned to.
Cons
Recent lower review scores accurately reflect the current state of the organisation. In my experience, it has changed significantly and no longer resembles the company many long-serving employees joined. Compensation and benefits are consistently below market and the process for salary progression lacks transparency and appears unnecessarily complex. Pay increases, including those tied to increased responsibility or role changes are limited and inconsistently applied. In my case, I moved into a senior position with a clear expectation of a corresponding pay review and formal recognition. Neither materialised. The process was later altered to require re-interviewing and presenting for a role I was already performing, which undermined confidence in how progression is managed. There is a strong emphasis on collecting employee feedback, but there is little evidence of meaningful follow through. Declining engagement scores and increased staff turnover suggest these concerns are not being effectively addressed. Support from management in challenging situations was inconsistent. In my experience, a performance review was negatively impacted during a period of serious personal circumstances and I did not feel adequately supported when dealing with a difficult customer situation involving inappropriate behaviour. The organisation’s stated core values appear to be taking a back seat to a focus on growth with many teams operating under sustained workload pressure as a result. This has had a noticeable impact on morale and retention. Leadership changes have introduced further instability. The appointment of a new CEO with limited tenure in the organisation at the time alongside subsequent senior management departures, contributed to uncertainty around direction and decision-making. The company’s ownership by a private markets investment firm, appears to have reinforced a strong focus on growth and financial performance which at times comes at the expense of employee experience and long-term investment in people. There was also limited transparency around headcount changes with roles and individuals leaving without clear communication. This created uncertainty and raised concerns about job security across teams.
