Having recently started at Versus Arthritis, I already realise this was a bad move. I seem to be surrounded by a number of unhappy people in Chesterfield, with quite a few planning their exit. People don't seem to confident with what they are doing, and say they have not been given the correct training to turn around their workload/use the systems they are required to use. It doesn't seem like anyone really respects the manager, who is often condescending to their staff. Some people are blaming the transition from two charities merging into one, but the merger was 18 months ago, so surely the company should be more stable than it is by now ? I really don't see things improving in the next 6-12 months and neither do many others. I've heard about the large number of people that have left the company in the last 6 months or so, and there must be a reason for this. I'm just not going to risk it, and am looking to move on as soon as possible and put this down to experience.
