      One of the best jobs I ever had

      Pros

      Interesting work with no limit to what you can learn from some extremely brilliant and talented people. After the startup phase, the work/life balance became more reasonable, but even when it was nuts, it was fun. People truly felt like they were making a difference.

      Cons

      Almost zero PM presence in the engineering division. No marketing/product requirements, some projects came out of nowhere, and one micromanager caused 30% attrition by making a few talented, hardworking contributors feel extremely frustrated and marginalized. Also, the office move to Cambridge was unfortunate for those who accepted the job offer in a suburban locale but later got stuck in Route 2/Alewife mayhem.

      A Once Great Company Mired in Process

      Pros

      Amazing technology, great people, good location. Challenges and opportunity to learn never cease, and people are always willing to talk about what they are doing and how you can contribute , learn or grow

      Cons

      Mired in process, and getting eaten by HP. What was once an agile company able to make decisions and act without influence from it's 'Big Brother' is now slowly being absorbed and cannibalized for everything good about it.

      Pros

      Some of the people I worked with are among the best I've encountered. The product is amazing for what it does. In general, the work environment was good.

      Cons

      While some of the people were good, some were bad, and some were very bad. With a change in management, our team was deflated and the new manager did not have the skills to work in that sort of environment. It led to me, and several other team members, leaving the company.
