A group of separate "shops" - in no way a cohesive company - lead by accountants recording history not making it.

Pros

The quality of work they produce is outstanding. Creatively, they are as good as anyone. Their products are solid.

Cons

The company lacks any true direction or identity. They have no training for new employees because they do not have a clear definition of what they do, what they charge, or how they want to go to market. Upper management is complete disassociated from their field people, and the level of dissatisfaction among the employees is shocking.

I really liked the people I worked with. I learned a lot about the pre-press industry and agency advertising. The experiences I got a Vertis out weighed the headaches.

Cons

Upper management didn't really care about their employees. They want to pay them the bare minimum and didn't always keep their promises. There was zero work-home life balance. That company killed the marriages of more people than I want to count. Luckily, my account closed before my marriage was placed on the sacrificial altar.
