Pros

Great mission, rewarding, good pay and benefits, great coworkers. Our countries Veterans deserve respect and excellent care. Training was good. There are some good Supervisors that truly care.

Cons

Micro management, every call is recorded, all screens are recorded. Your time is managed down to the minute. Toxic work environment, especially for Veteran employees who seem to be targets for firing, lack of promotion opportunities for Veterans. Vacation is determined by seniority, you work all holidays. There is a lack of Veteran employees, so when a Caller asks to speak with a Veteran, there is often a wait. Cognitive dissonance seems to be the culture and what you are told is not always to be trusted. High suicide rate among employees. If you work there you need to cover your own self and document everything thoroughly.
