I absolutely love working for VidCon. I've been seasonally contracted for the last couple years, and it's genuinely one of the best events I've ever worked at. The company treats its contracted staff incredibly well - flights, hotel, car service to/from hotel and airport, and meals all paid for, good hourly rate, and the relatively small number of staff creates a tight-knit community very quickly. I'll keep coming back as long as they'll have me.
Cons
Long hours (~12 hour work days during the event), and you have to deal with a lot of people (the event has 20,000+ attendees). If that's not your thing, it might not be worth it. There's also not a whole lot of opportunity for promotions if any.
