Rewarding Work For Almost Nothing

Pros

Working at the actual communities is so rewarding. You truly feel as though you are making a difference in the resident's lives. You also make great connections with family members.

Cons

Corporate management is a joke. The insurance money they offer goes on your paycheck as a "bonus" so you get taxed on the money and it makes it look like you make more when in reality, you are spending more because what they give you for insurance is not enough. They also offer no 401K plan. Not a lot of room to move up.

Pros

Interaction with the residents was a great opportunity to learn more about the area that I live in.

Cons

Management would hire people that belonged to their church or friends of management. A supervisor stated that she did not want to hire people who were in school.
