Management doesn't know what employees do and often can't help with issues that come up. They don't know the systems or program requirements. Holidays aren't given as holiday time, but taken from the fairly low amount of pto given. Neither MLK Jr. Day nor Juneteenth are considered holidays which is really says a lot about the culture. They send "diversity and belonging" emails yet don't actually honor days by celebrating and offering time off to reflect a civil rights pioneer or ending slavery.
