Pros

Some experience, makes you a hard worker I guess.

Cons

Seriously, it is essentially a scam. Not in the regular sense of the word, but in terms of how things are done. You have to walk lots and lots every day, talking to people who don't want to talk to you, because they get these reps every week. You work on 100% commission, with essentially unpaid training. You work 13 hour days, and that's considered normal. They give you a hard time if you have to miss a day, even with notice and legitimate reason. They push and manipulate you into submission, until you don't see straight. The people that work there truly believe they will be CEOs in a year. Seriously, how does that work? You get to be a CEO, and you get to be a CEO, everybody gets to be a CEO! Ridiculous.

Thank you for taking the time to review your experience working at Vincego. It’s unfortunate that you had a negative experience in your 1 or 2 days tenure working with our organization. For somebody who doesn’t yet have a thorough understanding of the sales industry or our company’s initial expectations, we can see how information could have been lost in translation. Your status “Worked at Vincego” is a little confusing for us to understand as it suggests that you actually worked here. How did you get past our 3-phase interview process not knowing this is a sales role? We do conduct a full interview and provide all potential candidates with a job shadowing opportunity. This is designed to observe our client sales meetings and what a typical entry-level looks like prior to their final interview. In reference to your “everyone becomes a CEO” question, we are not sure if we completely follow what you mean. Vincego only has 1 CEO. There are many individuals in our company that invest more time in their career as we provide an environment for growth and advancement for our team members. This mentality and level of work ethic is not unique to Vincego – any person who is heavily invested in their professional development and career can attest to that. The management and leadership team makes themselves available for 1-1 coaching since we are dedicated to developing our team and it’s completely voluntary to come in early and stay late to schedule time to receive this additional training and mentoring. We are proud to promote an environment that is based on meritocracy and performance rather than seniority since it results in a culture of ambition and high performance. We apologize if there was somebody on the team who made you feel pressured to think bigger or work harder than you were prepared for. We do not promote ourselves or our clients via a call center or retail storefront, therefore walking to and from businesses, setting appointments, meeting with clients face-to-face, is how we are able to acquire and retain customers (and why our industry-leading Fortune 100 and 500 clients trust us to represent their brands and services). If your expectation of direct B2B sales was sitting in an office, calling companies and closing every account without having to deal with any objections or uninterested customers – we would love feedback on how we may have misinformed you on our website. Sincerely, Ali Vincego CEO

Nice people, bad job.

Pros

Good incentive structure where all employees (read: self-employed) are invested in the professional success and training of other people. OK company culture.

Cons

The company hires like crazy: because everyone is self-employed, the company suffers no consequences from unsuccessful candidates. Very, very high turn-over rate. Hours are ridiculous: so you are self-employed, earning wages based 100% in commissions from selling products. Yet, from the 10-12h you are on the job (8AM-8PM) you get around half of that out in the field having the possibility to make money. Distances are nuts: you are expected to commute daily to places like Abbotsford, further taking precious time away from selling products (let alone the added costs of gas and tolls) - good luck if you don't have a car!

Pros

Growth- I started this job with absolutely no sales skills. The job has not been a cakewalk, but I put in the hard work and followed the guidance of very experienced mentors and have become a better version of myself in every way. Support- The energy in the office is great. Everyone in the office has a great attitude and genuinely want to see you reach your goals. Opportunity- In my previous job, I was not recognized for my efforts. the work culture was a "do as little as you can with out getting caught" mentality. At Vincego, your efforts and accomplishments are celebrated, giving you and the people around you more motivation to accomplish your goals.

Cons

Can be very challenging. If you are not willing to get out of your comfort zone and challenge yourself, this job might not be right for you.
