Pockets of highly competent scientists, professionals and all-around lovely people. Interesting science, promising platforms and pipeline.

Cons

Toxic, chaotic workplace culture due to understaffing and inexperienced management, leading to a wave of resignations from highly critical roles, despite two promising assets in the clinic and more in the pipeline. Staff speaks out but senior leadership does not care.

Vir has a nice service where you could order lunch from a selection of local restaurants to be delivered. The facilities are nice.

Cons

Have you ever had a CEO directly review your work? How about their chief of staff? How about one, then the other, for every piece of output you are responsible for? That's life at Vir Biotechnology, whether you're responsible for HR, legal, finance, or marketing, regardless of your level, expect the two people at the top of the org charts to have to sign off.
