      Great People but One Cannot Pay Their Bills with Quality Coworker Relationships

      Pros

      Fantastic people to work with, feel like your'e making a difference in your community. Good amount of accruable vacation leave + yearly sick and personal leave. Government benefits.

      Cons

      High volume workload is an understatement. Workload has you drowning constantly. Expectations to assist everyone who inquires about anything, even if they're not a client. Horrible pay. Have to watch all the attorneys get major raises while you get nothing.

      An Incredible and Fulfilling Job

      Pros

      Good benefits. Decent leave. Depending on the office, great leadership and training. Opportunity to do a job that feels good. Helping people that have very little. Jury trials!

      Cons

      Pay and opportunities for defenders that have been in the job for 5+ years. There comes a point where if you don't have an opening to be a Senior or above then you feel like you are selling your labor short.
