Virtium, where your career goes to die

Pros

None that I can think of.

Cons

Nepotism runs rampant in the organization, which leads to: Incompetent/Unqualified personnel "Us" vs "Them" culture Management always chooses to benefit themselves at their employees' expense, which leads to: Massive amounts of Turnover, in a span of a year and a half: 5 quit with absolutely no notice, 3 others left, and 5 were let go after their evaluation period expired. This is at a 50 person company. After firing an employee due to an unwillingness to pay for their full time benefits, the CEO came to work the next day with a brand new Tesla. Virtium is where you go to commit career suicide and make money for selfish and incompetent owners. Proceed at your own risk.

Horrible Place to Work. Stay Away.

Pros

There are a lot of good people at Virtium. That's it.

Cons

As the other reviews have stated, the CEO is a micromanager of the worst kind. Yet he's easily talked out of things as well. And will also change his mind at least 10 times per project. And these projects will come out of nowhere to interrupt your already busy schedule. Then when you aren't able to finish your previous work because of his requests, you get blamed. He also frequently decides that the urgent and super important thing he had you work on was actually not needed at all. And thinks nothing of it. He's also cheap and petty. The other co-owner/founder is nothing like him and is very pleasant (and smarter). There are other micromanagers there as well. They like making slight and insignificant changes to then be able to claim the work as their own. The facility is disgusting. It constantly smells like fish from the break room. Toilets leak and never get fixed. One went for over a year. One guy had roaches in his desk. Another had maggots. No perks. None. Want coffee? Bring your own. Unless you want to use the old crusty coffee maker that they use for their guests. Pay sucks and the CEO will try his hardest to deny your bonuses.

Frustration, Micromanaging, and Unhappiness

Pros

There are not any pros to list

Cons

The upper management does not provide a sense of direction, the mentality is purely reactionary which creates confusion and unhappiness amongst the workforce - there is no sense of team. Micromanaging by the CEO is unbearable. The overall sense of unhappiness on a day to day basis is very real and very disheartening.
