Pros

If you are in desperate need of a job, this can be a short-term solution...

Cons

As an employer, they do not deliver on their promises: Bonuses, timely payments, raises & promotions, healthy work environment, transparency… Virtual Emily uses a system to track what employees are doing (time of computer activity + screenshots), making it clear they do not trust the employee and don’t care about task completion, they think a productive employee is one who spends an entire day completing a task v.s one that can deliver quickly and efficiently. Since they monitor screens, they also spy on personal conversations and openly confess to it. Even though the company works with clients from other countries, and they sell themselves as a “fully remote” company they expect their employees to work from one place only (the track IP addresses) with no justification. Asking for permissions is a headache! They act as if granting medical permissions were a favor they’re giving the employee… But it’s a law requirement. The same happens with vacations, etc. They’re supposed to pay every 15 days but that rarely happens, when asked about it they come up with terrible excuses. Useless micromanagement and reporting… They really don’t care about the tasks you’re doing, they don’t care about your career or opportunities, they just ask for the beginning of day and end of day reports to check your work time. The environment overall is bad, there’s no open communication, there’s a lack of trust toward employees, and management does not treat people well. When people quit or get fired management usually comes up with an excuse like “they suddenly left” instead of taking ownership and acknowledging that they’re the problem. Bonuses that the clients give their employees are not completely delivered, virtual Emily takes its portion of the money with the excuse that they are charging internal costs.

Pros

Is a project that could easily grow if they improve their management team and decision-making process.

Cons

-The company doesn't honor the commission structure they have designed. -The salary rate is poor and the labor contracts are not adjusted to the law. -A micromanagement platform led by a poor operations team. -Highly aggressive and unfair towards their employees (harassment and economical violence when it comes to the payments they are due) -An environment of false statements that you're forced to keep as part of the management team, especially when it comes to the business model introduced to their clients. -Non-rational decision-making process that most of the time leads to client losses.
